Nokia unveil Asha 200, 201, 300, 303 at Nokia World

Nokia World just ended and Nokia introduced 4 new line Asha series phones. All of these devices are running on Series 40. Asha comes from Hindi and means something along the line of hope.

Nokia Asha 200 and 201 share similar design and looks like Nokia C3. Nokia claim it come with the most loudest speaker on it. The 200 is a dual-SIM device, while the 201 is a single-SIM one. Both devices offer QWERTY keyboards and Nokia have incorporated the popular WhatsApp messenger into Series 40. Both devices will also have up to 32GB on-board storage.


Nokia 200/201 Key Features :

  • 2.4 inches TFT resistive touchscreen (320 x 240 pixels).
  • QWERTY keyboard.
  • 2MP camera.
  • 1430 mAh.
  • Colors : Graphite, Green, Blue, Aqua, Pearl White, Light Pink, Pink, Orange.

The Nokia Asha 300 offers a 1GHz processor and 3G connectivity and it a touchscreen devices. It will feature a 5MP camera. It will not be a dual-SIM device.


Nokia Asha 300 Key Features :

  • 2.4 inches TFT resistive touchscreen (240 x 320 pixels).
  • 1 GHz processor.
  • 128 MB RAM.
  • 5 MP camera.
  • 1110 mAh.
  • Colors : Graphite, Night Shade, Gold, White Silver, Pink, Red.

Finally the Nokia Asha 303, a 1GHz phone with a 2.6" capacitive touchscreen and a keyboard combo. It looks a lot like the Nokia X3-02 touch'n'type. It also offers a 5MP camera on the back. It will Nokia's cloud-based browser that compresses web content up to 90% to reduce data consumption.

  • 1 GHz processor.
  • 128 MB RAM.
  • 3.2 MP camera.
  • 1300 mAh.
  • Colors : Red, Graphite, Silver White, Aqua, Green, Purple.

Apart from WhatsApp messenger support S40 will also get the Angry Birds treatment.

Price list of Nokia Asha devices :

  • Asha 200 : 60 EUR (Approximate RM 300)
  • Asha 201 : 60 EUR (Approximate RM 300)
  • Asha 300 : 85 EUR (Approximate RM 425)
  • Asha 303 : 115 EUR (Approximate RM 575)

Most devices will be ship on Q4 of 2011 except Asha 201 on Q1 2012.
