Canon's first mirrorless EOS - Canon EOS M

After few days leaked, finally full spec unveiled! We have Canon to join the mirrorless circle with large sensor.


Canon EOS M Key Features :


  • 18.0 megapixels
  • APS-CMOS sensor
  • Digic 5 image processor
  • ISO 100 - 12800 (25600 with boost)
  • Fixed 3" LCD Screen with smudge-resistant touchscreen
  • 1920 x 1080 (30, 25, 24 fps) Video
  • Lithium-Ion LP-E12 rechargeable battery and estimated 230 battery life.


Canon also announced two lenses for the EF-M mount - EF-M 22mm F2.0 STM 'pancake' prime and an EF-M 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM stabilized standard zoom lens. Both are built around a STM linear stepping motors to drive focus, feature metal lens barrels and focus-by-wire manual focus.


There will be adapter available to mount existing Canon EF lenses and Canon promised not quality drop.


In addition to that 22mm kit optic, Canon is offering an EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens for $300, or you can add the $200 EF-EOS M mount adapter to enable use with existing lenses. The $800 EOS M kit is set to ship in October, and will be available in retail stores in black.

First Images Of Canon’s Mirrorless Camera And EF-M 22mm f/2 Lens

Update : The Canon EOS M full spec leaked!

We know this day will come. Canon is joining the Mirrorless game and here, we have the first leaked image if Canon EOS M together with EF-M 22mm f/2 Lens.

  • ISO 100-12800 (25,600 Expansion)
  • 3″ Touchscreen 1.04million pixels
  • Phase & Contrast AF
  • Video Servo AF

The sensor are expected to be APS-C sized. Not confirm but put our finger cross. We expect Canon to announce its mirrorless camera on Monday, July 23th, around 6-7 AM London time.

Panasonic launches Lumix DMC-G5

Finally, the Panasonic G3 get refreshment, DMC-G5 a 16MP mid-level mirrorless camera.

Panasonic announces Lumix DMC-LX7

Finally, the most anticipating LX5 get replacement by big brother, Lumix DMC-LX7.

Sadly, the new LX7 didn't use larger sensor like Sony RX100. However, the fast aperture are impressive, promising a faster performance in lowlight with ISO 6400.

Panasonic announce Lumix DMC-LZ20, Lumix DMC-SZ5, Lumix DMC-FZ60, and Lumix DMC-FZ200

Whatsup peep! It is a big day for Panasonic since they are ready to introduced a bunch of new compact camera series. Let's take a look on it!

First we had the Lumix DMC-LZ20, a budget 21x superzoom camera.

It has been a while we seen new phone from HuaWei and now, we have Ascend G330, said to come with ICS on board.

Samsung releases 12MP EX2F 'Smart Camera'

Samsung EX2F, a successor for its EX1 high-end compact camera. It has highly built magnesium-bodied and features fast lens. Let's take a look on the spec.

  • 24 – 80 mm F1.4 - F2.7

As the name suggested, the 'F' is for WiFi and the EX2F features the full complement of 'Smart' options offered by its high-end NX cousins, including Mobile Link, Remote Viewfinder, Email and Auto Backup.

The EX2F will be priced at $549 (Est RM1650) and will be available in August.
