Panasonic unveils Lumix DMC-G6

The long awaiting G6 is here! The G6 gains considerably improved movie capabilities, including full exposure control, an external mic socket and the sensor from the GH2. It also adds the NFC-aided Wi-Fi for simple remote control and image download that we first saw in the GF6.

The G6 will available at price $749.99 (RM 2250 after converted).

My Opinion : They call G6 as GH2.5 since it sit in between GH2 and GH3. Yes it has all video capability from GH2. It would be a very nice addition to those who are major more on videograph.

Panasonic launches Lumix DMC-G5

Finally, the Panasonic G3 get refreshment, DMC-G5 a 16MP mid-level mirrorless camera.

Panasonic announce Lumix DMC-LZ20, Lumix DMC-SZ5, Lumix DMC-FZ60, and Lumix DMC-FZ200

Whatsup peep! It is a big day for Panasonic since they are ready to introduced a bunch of new compact camera series. Let's take a look on it!

First we had the Lumix DMC-LZ20, a budget 21x superzoom camera.


Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ20 Key Features :


  • 16.1 megapixels
  • 1/2.33" CCD sensor
  • ISO 100 - 1600 (3200 - 6400 with boost)
  • 25 – 525 mm with F3.1 - F5.8
  • 9 AF Point.

Next, Panasonic also announce a budget-conscious Wi-Fi compatible compact superzoom, Lumix DMC-SZ5.

If you feel CCD sensor is not your taste, Panasonic also release Lumix DMC-FZ60, a mid-priced 24X superzoom with MOS sensor.

The crazy not stop here! Panasonic announce a high end superzoom with constant F2.8 lens camera as well, DMC-FZ200. It has more or less same spec with DMC-FZ60

Panasonic updates six new point-and-shoot Lumix cameras

Sadly no LX5 nor GH2 replacement yet. However Panasonic is releasing six new PnS cameras.

Panasonic announces LUMIX DMC-GX1 and LUMIX DMC-3D1

The rumors Panasonic new Micro Four Third camera is officially announces! Besides announcing the new mirrorless system, Panasonic unveiled LUMIX DMC-3D1, which is a point and shoot 3D camera as well.


LUMIX DMC-GX1 Key Specification :

  • 16.01 megapixel Live MOS sensor.
  • Venus Engine.
  • ISO up to 12,800.
  • 460,000-dot Touchscreen LCD.
  • 1920 x 1080 video at 60i or 30p in AVCHD format.
  • Built in internal flash.

Panasonic claim that the auto-focus system as fast as 0.09 second. The LUMIX DMC-GX1 will be sold in mid-December with the body-only version costing $699.99 (Approximately RM2.3k) If you get it in a kit with the 14-42 standard zoom lens, it will cost you $799.99 (Approximately RM2.6k) and if you buy it with the LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 14-42mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S (H-PS14042) lens it will cost you $949.99 (Approximately RM3k).


LUMIX DMC-3D1 Key Speficification :

  • 12.1 megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensors.
  • Venus Engine.
  • 25mm wide-angle lens (Twin).
  • 4x optical zoom.
  • Able to capture 8 megapixel 3D images as well as 1080i60 3D videos.

One of the interesting point of this camera is the ability to shoot videos and pictures simultaneously using the two lenses and sensors. This means you can record a video in 2D with one lens/sensor and simultaneously take a picture (with zoom) using the other.

In addition, the Venus engine that uses a quad-core processor that enables it to capture the 3D HD video in AVCHD and capture 8 fps in camera mode without auto-focus and 4 fps with auto-focus.

The LUMIX DMC-3D1 will be available in December for $499.99 (Approximately RM1.6k).

Panasonic GX 1 Leaked!


A couple hour ago image of Panasonic GX1 is leaked.

Here are the rumors spec :

  • It has the same 16 Megapixel G3 sensor.
  • New image processing engine and ISO12800.
  • The fastest AF of all Panasonic cameras: 0.09 seconds AF!
  • Electronic Level
  • 920,000 dots touchscreen LCD (non tiltable!!!)
  • LVF2 external viewfinder with 1,440,000 dots. (no Built-in EVF)
  • Color: black, silver.

 

 

 

 

Look very similar to GF1 and GF2. What say you?
