News Samsung Galaxy Nexus to be announced October 19th

Google Nexus Prime, or curently know as Samsung Galaxy Nexus, or some said maybe will release both model (one model come with TouchWiz and another with Vanilla Android) will be officially announced on October 19th.

The date itself, we heard about through the grape vine back on Wednesday, but now, we have reports of official invites courtesy of Samsung, having been issued as of this Thursday. The new event will take place on October 19th (as we said), with doors opening at 9:30am and the event kicking off at 10am.

You'll be able to watch a live-stream, assuming it fits in with your timezone, via youtube.com/android, meaning by the end of play on the 19th we should finally have the full story on both the next Nexus and Ice Cream Sandwich.

Meanwhile, Ice Cream Sandwich for real anyone? ;)

Sonalight Brings Powerful Texting-By-Voice To Android

Well if you are Android user and looking for something what Siri (iPhone 4s apps) can do, introducing you Sonalight Text by Voice.

There’s a lot that Siri can do that Sonalight doesn’t — you can’t ask it to check your calendar, for example, nor can you do any of those nifty Wolfram Alpha data lookups. But for straightforward texting, it’s taking a similarly intuitive approach.

Here is the video demo

Well if u r a user who love to text during driving, this is what u need. The apps is free to download but you only can send 20 text message by voice and you can receive an unlimited number. If you want to send more voice texts, you have to pay $20 for an unlimited year’s subscription. Skates says that the service will be experimenting to figure out the best approach, so this setup may change.

Samsung Galaxy II update to increase the size of icons

Good news to all Samsung Galaxy S II user, a new update will roll out soon! Bad news to you all as well because Samsung announced the new update will increase 30% size of the icons.

This means that after the update the homescreen will show just three icons at the bottom and even the application menu grid will be reduced to a 3x3 grid. Another change that this update will bring is a System Update widget. It will inform you of the current version of the software and if there are any new updates available.

The update should be available to Galaxy S II owners soon. Hopefully, the icon size change will be optional, as it seems like a waste of good display space that some users might like to keep.
