Nokia has also revamped the Nokia Camera app, integrating the Nokia Smart Camera and the Nokia Pro camera functionality inside the regular camera UI and allowing for a seamless camera mode changing.

Nokia has also developed a new app called Nokia Storyteller. It plots out all the photos you've taken on the HERE map. You can zoom in to specific locations and see the actual photos grouped by date of taking and location. It also integrates all your specialty photos - like cinemagraphs and Action shots (it would even animate the latter).

A new app called Nokia Beamer would also allow you to stream your smartphone's screen to any device with a web browser.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 will launch in yellow, red, white, and black later this autumn, starting in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, the U.S. (an AT&T exclusive), France, Germany, UK and continuing to other European markets for a retail price of $749 before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia Lumia 1020 now official, packed with 41MP OIS camera

It seem like Nokia is getting serious now in packing serious camera features in their window phone! Nokia Lumia 1020 manage to grab on all camera spec that Nokia Pureview 808 has.

Nokia Lumia 1020 Key Specification :
  • 4.5" Clear Black AMOLED display with 1280 x 768 resolution and Nokia's PureMotion HD+, Super Sensitive Touch
  • 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset Krait CPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB Internal memory
  • 41MP back facing camera with 1080p video resolution
  • 1.2MP front facing camera
  • NFC
  • LTE
  • 2000mAh
  • Window Phone 8

The Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available in yellow, white and black. Price and availability still unknown.

My Opinion : Honestly nothing interesting in Nokia Lumia 1020 except the camera. Same spec seem in Nokia Lumia 925. SO let's focus the camera k? Since it is the main selling point. We know that once Nokia goes serious, their camera is really a beast! The camera is packed with 1/1.2 inch BSI sensor (same with Pureview 808) and 6 element lens ZEISS optics. The 41MP image sensor can snap both 40MP and 5MP photos at the same time where one straight off the sensor and one after Nokia's Super sampling has been applied. The Pureview 808 can only shoot one or the other at a time. Nokia also packed the Lumia 1020 with its Pro Camera and Smart Camera camera lens apps. They'll allow advanced users fiddle with the camera settings aka manual setting! Like finally a phone with manual setting for the camera! Seriously, I am really impressed with Nokia camera until today. None of any smartphone at market now can come close with Nokia N8 and also Nokia Pureview 808. Of course, rumors coming Sony Xperia Honami will be packed with awesome camera too. We will wait until IFA event on 4th september for Sony announcement.

Not to mention some features such as LTE and Wireless Charging was included too. In the same time, Lumia 520 is value buy as a entry level phone.

Window Phone 8 (Apollo) get details

How was your experiences with Window 7.5 (Tango)? I bet it is awesome with the recent Nokia as the operating system's major partner.

Howevever, Window Phone evolution doesn't stop here! The next generation, Window 8 also known as Apollo said to designed based on the new Windows 8 operating system. Here are the more info of Window 8 :

More hardware options: among the listed options are multi-core processors, new display resolutions and support for microSD card storage.

Near Field Communications (NFC): focuses on digital wallet capabilities as well as tap-to-share function.

Deep integration with Windows 8: since the mobile operating shares many elements with the desktop/tablet operating system, developers can reuse them to port apps from desktop to phone. Xbox Companion app and SkyDrive will be part on the integration as well.

Apps: around 100,000 apps are expected to be available at Windows Phone 8 launch and there is also the support for app-to-app communications.

Skype: the Windows Phone 8 version will be linked directly to the operating system and will be made to operate like standard non-VoIP operation.

Camera lens app: apparently, Microsoft will provide a basic camera interface that can be overlaid with third-party viewfinders.

DataSmart: designed to reduce and simplify data usage tracking, it provides and displays breakdown of data consumption as well as helps user connect to carrier-owned Wi-Fi network when in range and also, helps user to find real-time location of nearby hotspots through Bing Local Scout.

Proxy server on Internet Explorer 10 Mobile: the browser will be able to utilize server-side service that compresses web pages to reduce data usage - something that Opera browser has been doing for quite a while.

Native BitLocker encryption: targeted for business users, Windows Phone 8 will have the same full disk encryption capability just like the existing BitLocker feature on Windows.

Window 8 are expected to roll out on Q4 of the year. We definitely can't wait to get hands on on this sweet OS.

Window 8 can make call?

What!? Missed calls in Window 8?? Looks like there are some stuff we don't know yet in Window 8. Apparently Window 8 is likely going to support voice calls, which will make it suitable for voice-enabled tablets.

The information comes from the screenshot above, which features a missed calls pane in its Metro UI. And that could be used for some VoIP services, so you shouldn’t get all too enthusiastic about it just yet.
