Sony ST25i Kumquat to be called Xperia U when it launches

Not long ago, there was a leaked of Sony next smartphone that rumors will be announce on WMC 2012, Sony Ericson Kumquat. However, the Indonesian equivalent of the US FCC has listed Kumquat under the name Sony Ericsson Xperia U.

Sony Ericsson Xperia U rumors Specification :

• 3.5 inch screen.
• Dual Core 1Ghz.
• 5MP Camera.

Sony Ericsson Nozomi Spec and Benchmark

The Sony Ericsson Nozomi (Or known as Xperia Arc HD) live shot out again with benchmark this time. According to the screenshot of the Quadrant benchmarking app, the arc HD is said to sport a 1.5GHz single-core CPU, but the source of the leak assures us that it's a dual-core unit that is ticking inside.

Sony Ericsson Nozomi specification :

• 4.3 inches 720 x 1280 pixels (~342 ppi pixel density)
• Dual Core 1.5ghz MSM8660 chipset.
• 1GH RAM.
• 12MP camera.

Lets wait for CES in LA next week for more announcement. Hope Sony Ericsson is showing some promising in this device.

Sony Ericsson showcases Android 4.0.1 ICS alpha ROM on video

It is coming! Android ICS for Sony Ericsson Alpha ROM is out for developer. Unfortunately at the moment it only support on Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray. The preview ROM isn't suited for a day-to-day use - major features like telephony, Wi-Fi and Google apps aren't functional just yet.

The list of updated are :

• New “Roboto” font
• New “Holo” theme is supported (you are able to test apps written to make use of the Holo theme)
• Music player control from lock screen
• Updated UI in the Settings menu
• Updated UI in the web browser
• Updated UI and interaction with the new messaging action bar
• Updated UI for improved multitasking
• Swipe to dismiss notifications, tasks and browser tabs in the Notification menu

I was hoping they quickly change the home screen design and icon as well ;)

Sony Ericsson Nozomi photo official leaks

Expected to come out on MWC in February 2012, Sony Ericsson Nozomi are rumored to had 12MP camera and 720p screen. It will become Sony Ericsson first phone to run Ice Cream Sandwich.

The device look pretty slim and cool. Will it beat Samsung Galaxy S2?

Sony Ericsson’s Nypon and ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8500 chipset demoed on video

The latest Sony Ericsson LT22i Nypon smartphone made its first public appearance as several demo videos appeared. The ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8500 chipset comes with a couple of Cortex-A9 cores, clocked at 1GHz and a Mali-400MP GPU.

As can see from the video, Sony Ericsson Nypon will be running on Android ICS.

No exact specification for Nypon yet however rumors it'll have 4.3″ qHD (540×960 pixels) screen - Which same with HTC Sensation.

Five month after the rumors dual core phone by Sony Ericsson and later is disappeared like smoke. But now, finally the rumors Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi is on leak!

• Dual-Core 1.5GHz Processor.
• 1GB RAM.
• Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread (might run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when hit the market).

The Xperia Nozomi look very pretty! And buttonless too of course. Thus, highly chance it'll run Android 4.0 once it hit the market and start shipping. Looking forward for the camera built and performance as well. COuld be the sensor as good as iPhone 4S? ;P

Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will get Android 2.3.4 update first

Wow I didn't have time to do review for my SE Xperia Neo and here come a news for me! According to Sony Ericsson, the Android 2.3.4 firmware update would be rolling out to the 2011 range of Sony Ericsson Xperia handsets from October. Xperia Neo will get the update first, yay for me! The latest firmware updates the build number from version 4.0.A.2.368 to 4.0.1.A.0.283.

On this new update, it'll have :

• Video for Google Chat
• 3D Panorama for camera
• SWIPE input text system
• Screen capture
• Enchantment to Facebook inside Xperia
