Tizen OS hands on - Developer version

We talk about Tizen last year and today finally we get to see a hands on on a very early stage.

Well, the UI is similar to Samsung TouchWiz. Why we aren't surprise? Like iOS, the apps is directly installed to homescreen instead of a dedicated application drawer like Android.

You can check out more features in Tizen from the video below.

Of course, it is still early stage. Who know what would happen to the final release? Just stay tune with us ;)

Tizen screenshots leak, debut on Samsung I9500?

For those who dunno, Tizen is a collaboration between Intel, Samsung (in Nokia's place) and the Linux Foundation. It will apparently rely on HTML5-based apps mostly (ala WebOS and Windows 8) and will probably be a pretty major overhaul of MeeGo.

The screenshot above is not from a devices, but from an emulator.

The Tizen SDK reports the browser's user agent as Samsung I9500. The interesting thing is not that Samsung is working on a Tizen phone, but that the I9xxx line is usually for their flagship Androids - I9000 Galaxy S, I9100 Galaxy S II, I9250 Galaxy Nexus. We've already heard of the I9500 as the Galaxy S III
