Canon announces PowerShot SX500 IS and SX160 IS

Canon just announced two mid-range superzoom cameras, PowerShot SX500 IS and SX160 IS. Both feature faster autofocus and less shutter lag than previous models.

Canon PowerShot SX500 IS Key Features :

• 16.0 megapixels
• 1/2.3" (6.17 x 4.55 mm) CCD Sensor
• Digic 4 Imaging processor
• ISO 80 - 1600
• 24 – 720 mm F3.4 - F5.8 lens
• 3" fix LCD
• 1280 x 720 (25 fps) video

Canon PowerShot SX160 IS Key Features :

• 16.0 megapixels
• 1/2.3" (6.17 x 4.55 mm) CCD Sensor
• Digic 4 Imaging processor
• ISO 80 - 800
• 28 – 448 mm F3.5 - F5.9 lens
• 3" fix LCD
• 1280 x 720 (30, 25 fps) video

Both model will available on September with $329 (Approx RM987) for the SX500 IS and $229 (RM687) for the SX160 IS.
