Huawei brings new super-fast LTE tech to affordable Ascend G6 smartphone and MediaPad M1 tablet and also MediaPad X1

MWC is here!! This year Huawei brought some interesting tablet to the show! The company announced the launch of two affordable devices that will come with this 150Mbps technology: the Ascend G6 4G and the MediaPad M1 which also features stereo front-facing speakers. Samsung unveils Pro lines of Galaxy Note and Tab tablets

Hold your house, Samsung is not ready to announce Galaxy S5 yet. Today in CES 2014, Samsung unveiled a total of four new tablets from two new lines, the Pro versions of the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab tablets. Their sizes range from 8.4" to 12.2", breaking past the current barrier of 10.1" tablets. All four tablets feature flagship specs that are very similar between themselves and the high-end Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) tablet. Note that these tablets have Wi-Fi only versions along with a 3G/4G version (depending on the chipset). Also, all of them feature Samsung's new faux leather backs.

Apple iPad mini 2 and iPad Air go official

The new iPad Air (not iPad 5) is officially unveiled along with iPad Mini 2. The big news, of course, is that the mini model now has a Retina display.

The TouchID rumors didn’t pan out and the mini 2 has a regular Home button. The Apple iPad mini 2 runs iOS 7 out of the box with color options of Silver & White and Space Grey & Black. As usual there will be Wi-Fi and 3G/LTE versions.

The Apple iPad mini 2 will be available in November starting at $399, which is notably higher compared to the $339 starting price of the first iPad mini last year.

The Apple iPad Air brings a new name, new design and more power. It received the new Apple A7 chipset along with the M7 motion co-processor. The other major upgrade is the design – it's based on the iPad mini and has narrower bezels (43% smaller) that make the tablet easier to handle.

The tablet is 20% thinner and now measures just 7.5mm, thinner than the iPad 2. The weight also went down big time - from 653g to 469g.

Beside spec improvement, the Galaxy Note 3 also bring new S Pen features known as Air Command. Well it make's multitasking to be faster and easier. Great features that wouldn't hurt to have. Same goes to the 4K recording.

LG finally back to tablet business. LG G Pad 8.3 share the same design language with the latest LG G2. LG claim that it the first 8-inch tablet with a Full HD display.

The new Nexus 7 is in the house! Packed with rocking dual stereo speaker and also the latest Android, 4.3 Jelly Bean. It also slimmer and lighter than first generation.

My Opinion : Great! Cheap and high performance tablet. Plus it has the highest screen resolution, even higher than Nexus 10 making watching movie or picture experience be wonderful. There is also back facing camera where first generation Nexus 7 missing. Hopefully it will be cheap when come to Malaysia or remain the same price with first generation.

My Opinion : Finally Samsung is using Intel Atom processor on their tablet. But for some reason Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 has lower RAM and camera resolution compare with Tab 3 8.0. My Opinion : I think the Fonepad Note FHD6 is the most attractive to me. It features stylus like Samsung Galaxy Note series line and also dual speaker stereo like HTC One. The only let down would be no flash available at the back facing camera. Plus, I would like to see what else the stylus can do. Uhh wonder will Samsung sue ASUS for using the NOTE name? :P Oh did I forgot to mention Fonepad Note work like a normal phone?

LG Nexus 4 will be available starting Nov. 13 in the U.S., UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Australia with the price of 8GB and 16GB versions for $299 and $349, respectively. It'll be sold unlocked as GSM/HSPA+ compatible. No LTE at the moment.

To recap, here is the spec for Google Nexus 7 who just got 32GB version and also 3G version.

Samsung Nexus 10 will be available from November 13th on Google Play in the US, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan -- with the 16GB edition costing $399 and the 32GB version setting you back $499.

Sony Xperia Tablet S announced

Sony Xperia Tablet S will be the company first tablet with Xperia branding. The spec pretty much like the leaked we publish back to few weeks ago.

• 8.0MP rear camera and 1.0MP front camera

Sony Xperia Tablet S is a splash-proof tablet and has built-in universal remote with time-saving macro programming.

The tablet also has a unique application called Socialife that allows you to view, sort and manage all your social and news feeds through its stylish user interface. Other features include Small Apps, which are widgets that sit on top of the screen such as a remote or calculator. Another new feature is ‘Guest mode’ which can create individual profiles for family members and visitors.

The new Xperia Tablet S from Sony will be available from September 2012. In terms of pricing the tablet will cost $400 for the 16GB model, with the 32GB going for $500 and the 64GB for $600.

Sony Xperia Tablet photos emerge

The replacement for Sony Tablet S is here! Bearing the Xperia branding, the new tablet will be thinner and carry the unique "wedge" design of the Sony Tablet S. It also built with Magnesium-Aluminium body with weight 570 grams.

Samsung officially announces the Galaxy Note 10.1

If you recall, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 10.1 back at WMC 2012 but very quick, Samsung send it back to R&D. Today, Samsung once again re-announces the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will come with 3 version - WiFi-only version, a WiFi-and-3G HSPA-Plus and a WiFi-and-LTE version. European pricing is set at €479 for the Wi-Fi only version and €599 for the 3G-enabled units.
